Securing Wooden Garden Gate
There are several options to lock the gate. They range from the gate latch, lock gates that have been built to provide the latch holes to slide into the lock to the latch to slide the bolt.

Lockable gate latch
This includes both the key, as an integral part of the gate latch, or as an additional gate latches (like a lock to get through the hole in the latch). They range from old-fashioned gate latch of the most basic that you associate with a sliding bar, a high-tech hooks, which is the key as part of the design. All locked gates blocking the latch on one side only (inside the gate, as a rule, on the page).

Latch
Sometimes you fall in love with a door and the latch is not closed, but you need some measure of security at the gate. Bolt choice that is really good. Latch installation requires few tools and skills, but it looks and functions properly. Typically, the latch is mounted on the latch side. You can probably find something that was done in the same way as the latch.

There are two options for latch: single cylinder or double cylinder. Single cylinder means that there is a button on the inside of the gate and side gate to enter. More options

It also has a place to use the key if you want. On the inner side of the gate you just turn the knob and lock it. Since the electron latch is set, Emtek recommend using only the gate in protected areas (if exposed to a lot of rainy season) or in areas with low rainfall.

Slide bolts and bolts of the stem
While the latch is controlled on both sides of the gate, slidebolts, barrel bolts, and others like them are installed on the inner side (page) side of the gate. They can be installed as an additional measure above or below without blocking the gate of the castle. To lock, you slide a barrel to catch and prevent the door from opening on both sides.
